Apple Blossom Green

The steamy fragrance is the very best part about this tea. If you like green apples, you'll love the aroma! I expected the similar taste as the smell, but it was actually much more mild. If you don't want a bold tangy apple taste but love the smell, you might give it a try. With the first sip the intense apple subsides to compliment the green tea nicely. It's great alone, sweetened, hot or over ice. 50 bags gone, still has me rushing back for more. I think I'll keep it around as a usual.

Chamomile Rose

I just brewed a cup of Chamomile & Rose (medium mug size 1 part Chamomile & 1 part Rose). I used the equivalent of 2 full bags (for a strong brew).

It's definitely a mixed taste. It's all Chamomile, yet all rose at the same time. It's in the nose, the sip & in the after taste. Cham-Rose is great for relaxation! Both teas are often used for their calming effects. The taste is just as unique as earl gray, but on the other end of the spectrum.

This blend is light & soothing the whole way through.

Iced:
With this tea, I'd suggest adding a little sweetener. It gives a nice flavor that reminds me of iced sweet-tea.

Green Tea ∙ Antioxidant Goodness

Gunpowder Green Tea with a little bit of organic sugar is my all-time favorite cup of steamy tea. The whole leaf tea has such a bold flavor compared to most tea bagged greens. Which are perfect if you're in the mood for a milder green sipping experience. But, the bagged is definitely a runner up to the whole leaves.

Chai

Vanilla is the key!

I've realized that it's the vanilla that makes the tastes blend together so well plus it just makes a very yummy cup. I tested out a Chai sampler to taste many of the different versions of chai blends on the market. My favorite cup was a Vanilla Chai, with some organic sugar*, organic cream, and a little added vanilla. THAT was the perfect cup for my taste buds!

So I've been thinking of trying some blends of my own. I thought of creating my own concentrates or extracts, like boiling down some: cinnamon sticks, whole nutmeg, vanilla beans and other whole spices found in many Chai blends. I'll surely blog through the process. :)

I'm thinking that some freshly extracted flavors, mixed by dropper amounts, made to personal taste, could be the best cup'o'tea ever.

* WHY ORGANIC SUGAR? I used to be a big fan of sweets, I'm talking choco-holic style. Well I also slowly started losing the ability to cope with the many stresses in my life at the time. I had realized that my sugar consumption was creating ADD style energy bursts that were hard to deal with at work. I also learned that in the process of refining sugar, important vitamins are stripped out. The lost nutrients make it so the pancreas cannot process the substance. Raw evaporated cane juice for example, has all the nutrients needed for absorption. I was told that processed sugar actually depletes the B-vitamin supply in the body making stress totally unmanageable. Please note that I am not a doctor, I am simply sharing my own personal journey and beliefs. I found it very beneficial to eliminate toxic things from my diet for a few months & see how I felt. Then once my body was cleansed of the substance, I would add it back and notice the effects it had on my body and mind. That was all the proof I needed to then eliminate it permanently. I now only consume Organic Sugar, Raw Evaporated Cane Juice, Organic Turbinado, or Stevia (healthy cane sugar alternative).
